Our story

Just a kid
from Detroit

Chauncey Bolden brought Detroit water ice to San Diego — the real thing, hand-built in cups, not syrup poured over crushed ice. Read the menu and the whole map is on it: The 313 Mix, Seven Mile Swirl, Belle Isle Slide, Coney Island Knockout. Every cup is named after a street, a landmark, or somebody who mattered.

It runs out of National City now — open late, delivered free inside five miles, and pulled up to birthdays, flag football games and block parties across the county.
